I was very pleased with the support and service we received. Mr Healey provided excellent support, advice and guidance to our food services team and we are confident the resultant Food Safety Program meets all the requirements of the new food safety legislation.
His experience and understanding of the food industry is well utilised to develop our staff in a wide range of new skills and knowledge. His training activities are always based around our own work situations and he readily customises his training materials to suit our production environment. David is thorough, professional and a very competent presenter. We are very pleased with the training program and its delivery.
Our Goodman Fielder Salisbury site recently completed a Certificate III in Food Processing course with the Australian Food Training Centre. The students reported that it was so easy to be captured by David and Kestrel’s enthusiasm and passion for what they deliver. What holds this course apart from many others I have attended in many fields is the ease and intimacy of presentation, the comprehensive support documentation and the generous ongoing support from AFTC.
Although this course was about developing our employees food processing skills, it is clearly far more than that. Sure it is about learning new skills, but it is also and more importantly about developing a business and culture in a positive framework ready for success. The Australian Food Training Centre certainly delivered this.
The linchpin of our training program has been the introduction of the Certificate III in Plant Baking. This training has underscored our drive towards increased product quality and improved workplace safety, with very promising results to date.
David and John’s understanding of the manufacturing process and ability to present their training in interesting and relevant ways has been a significant key to the success of the program. Training participation and success rates have been very high to date with many senior employees and others with limited literacy levels enjoying the training without feeling intimidated or scared off by the process.
The Australian Food Training Centre shares our passion for establishing a culture where staff are given learning opportunities to grow and develop in their role and as people. We have been working with David and Colleen for over two years now and we couldn’t be happier with the outcomes for our staff and our business.
David and Colleen have provided education that is responsive and needs based, truly acknowledging the experience brought by each staff member. Their facilitation style is warm and inclusive which built rapport in the group and enhanced the learning of all participants. Their relationship with LHI has been professional in all aspects and I have no hesitation in recommending the Australian Food Training Centre as a sound and reputable RTO.
We were very pleased with the training and level of service David has provided. In particular, the flexibility of his training program and his willingness to adjust the training to fit into the varying production demands of our business. If production was too busy, it was easy to arrange other times and if there were quieter times, he arranged extra sessions.
Overall, I was very pleased with the support and service we have received. Mr Healey provided excellent support, advice and guidance and we are confident the resultant Food Safety Plan meets all the requirements of the new Food Safety Legislation.
As a major outcome of the Certificate II in Food Processing traineeships, Mr Healey has overseen and managed a project to develop and document a Food Safety Program for the hospital. This has given the training a very practical focus and helped the Dietary Services department meet one of its key objectives for the year.
The team are most impressed with David Healey as their facilitator. They all agree they want to listen to him’ during the modules, as he gives great examples and stories to strengthen their learning experience.
